Job Summary
Supervise students within the classroom and throughout the building and campus during the school day. Create and deliver lesson plans aligned to state tested standards, collect academic data, and communicate student progress to families. Teach courses assigned by the principal, including specialized subjects and electives, using differentiated strategies to meet diverse student needs. Prepare materials, administer state exams, and lead safety drills while maintaining classroom rules and assisting administration. Cover classes for co-workers when absent and carry out daily assigned duties such as parking lot setup and lunch supervision. Adhere to the school's mission, vision, and values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education
- NC State Licensure in content area
- current enrollment in certification program
- Knowledge of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study
- Knowledge of North Carolina Testing Program in regards to End of Course Testing
- Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education
- Ability to infuse technology into curriculum
- Ability to work effectively with administration, staff, families and the community members
- Basic computer and reporting skills
