Hybrid Instructional Assistant

Job Summary
Support diverse learners by implementing individualized behavioral and academic strategies outlined in IEPs to improve achievement and meet specific goals. Provide direct instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics while assisting with personal hygiene, meals, and daily activities. Maintain accurate records, document progress, and communicate student goals and challenges to families, teachers, and service providers. Collaborate with the instructional team to evaluate effectiveness, modify approaches, and ensure classrooms contain necessary supplies for individualized supports. Create safe, engaging centers-based environments that foster community and model acceptance for children with special needs. Participate in hybrid rotations, including up to three days in-person for tutoring, field trips, and testing sessions alongside virtual collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Development Certificate (GED)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in youth development, child care or a school setting
- Demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
- Must be energetic, reliable, flexible and integrity driven
- Strong communication skills
- Solution-focused and goal oriented
- Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative work environment
- Ability to maintain a patient and supportive relationship with assigned students
- Must be available for hybrid capacity with potential of 3 days a week in person and 2 days a week virtually
- Required to participate in all in-person activities
- Must be able to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
