Job Summary
The Hybrid Executive Protection Agent provides protective security for principals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in Palo Alto, CA. Responsibilities include ensuring safety of principals and properties, monitoring CCTV and perimeters, assessing threats via traditional and social media, controlling access and maintaining security logs, driving principals, conducting advance work for routes and events, coordinating with site staff, completing daily household tasks as requested, maintaining equipment and supplies, staying compliant with SOPs and laws, supporting the executive protection team, and demonstrating strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability. Candidates should be proficient with security technology, maintain professional appearance, and be able to travel domestically and internationally as required. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to interact with clients, staff, vendors, and neighbors; multitasking in a fast-paced setting; and the ability to work independently or in a team.
Required Qualifications
- CA BSIS Security Guard license
- A Valid United States Driver’s License
- Current Passport with more than six months expiration
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification for Adults, Children, and Infants
- Associates or bachelor’s degree
- Exposed Firearms Permit with a 9mm endorsement
- Or certification from a recognized EP school (this can be supplemented with 2+ years of relevant industry experience)
- Graduation from a certified driving school is also preferrable, but this too can be supplemented based on experience
- Military or Law enforcement experience
- Proficient in the use of social media collection tools in support of protective intelligence
- Training in defensive tactics, counter surveillance/surveillance detection, and covert protection experience
- Active First Responder, Paramedic or EMT certifications
- Regularly active in outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, ocean sports, etc.
- California CCW permit
- 2+ years of EP and RST experience
- Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps
