Job Summary
Design and architect data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power, cooling, and security systems. Evaluate client requirements to recommend services and develop long-term strategic plans ensuring scalability and compliance. Create technical design documents, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures while managing proof-of-concept initiatives and solution transitions. Guide sales teams on opportunity alignment, prepare executive summaries, and lead scope determination for rFP/rFI responses. Mentor junior engineers and maintain relevant vendor certifications within the business unit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or information systems or a related field
- Certification and working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies (for example, TOGAF, Zachman, SOA, ITIL, COBIT, etc.)
- Vendor product, sales and technology certifications such as Dell, Nutanix, HPE, Cisco, Vmware, Redhat, Linux, etc
- Software and programming languages, for example, C++
- Seasoned professional technical experience within a large-scale technology environment
- Seasoned experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
- Seasoned experience in a professional technical role
- Seasoned experience as a DATA Center Technical Architect or similar role, designing and implementing DATA center infrastructure solutions
- Seasoned experience in project management methodologies
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant proficiency in following Microsoft technologies - HPE, DELL, VMware, Veeam, CompTIA A+, Cisco UCS Servers, Brocade SAN Switches, Cisco MDS SAN switches, Nutanix concepts
- Comprehensive understanding and appreciation of technical design principles
- Seasoned understanding of project and administration processes
- Display a strong learning orientation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate a client service orientation
- Hands-on proactive in approach
- Proficient in Visio, LLD and As Build document design
- SAFe Scaled Agile certification advantageous or similar
- Seasoned experience in project management methodologies advantageous
- C++ is an added advantage
