Hybrid Cloud Architect

Job Summary
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of PHINIA’s hybrid cloud ecosystem across on-premises infrastructure, private cloud, and public cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP). Ensure secure, scalable, cost-efficient cloud architectures aligned with digital transformation goals. Guide cloud migration initiatives and governance standards while partnering with infrastructure, security, application, and business teams to deliver resilient hybrid cloud capabilities. Responsibilities include architecting hybrid cloud environments, modernization of hybrid infrastructure, establishing governance models and FinOps, developing DR/BC plans, creating documentation and runbooks, evaluating emerging cloud technologies, and driving automation with IaC. Modernize workloads (ERP, MES, PLM, custom apps) using containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native services. Design secure OT/IT integration, industrial edge compute, and data pipelines (OPC-UA, IoT, analytics). What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience; 7+ years IT infrastructure experience with 4+ years in cloud/hybrid architecture; strong Azure expertise with knowledge of AWS/GCP; IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), automation, CI/CD, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker); OT systems and industrial protocols; cloud security fundamentals; manufacturing/automotive experience preferred; Azure/AWS certifications or TOGAF/FinOps a plus; visa sponsorship available for qualified applicants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience with 4+ years in cloud or hybrid architecture
- Strong expertise in Azure (preferred), with working knowledge of AWS/GCP
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Automation, CI/CD tooling and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience with OT systems and industrial protocols
- Foundation in cloud security, Zero Trust, networking, and governance
- Background in manufacturing/automotive environments is a strong preference
- Certifications such as Azure/AWS Architect, TOGAF, or FinOps are plus
