Job Summary
The role focuses on guiding and supporting families through mental health services and wraparound processes. A Parent Partner will provide one-on-one and group support to parents/caregivers, help families navigate county systems and connect to community resources, ensure parent perspectives shape planning and safety measures, participate in team planning and evaluation of care plans, engage in community outreach and mental health awareness activities, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in on-call rotations. The position requires bilingual Spanish proficiency, a high school diploma/GED, a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends, and a valid driver’s license with up-to-date clearances. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Salinas, CA, with duties spanning direct client interaction, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and documentation and administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Personal lived experience as the parent or legal guardian of a youth who received services from child-serving systems (child welfare/foster care/adoption, juvenile justice/probation, mental/behavioral health, special education, etc.)
- Bilingual Spanish skill set, pass language proficiency assessment
- High school diploma/GED
- Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Be part of a rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled with supervisor ahead of time
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
- TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
