Hy-Chi Department Manager

Hy-Chi Department Manager at Hy-Vee will set department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, professional appearance and overall profitability. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, supervising and evaluating department staff; determining goals and weekly work schedules; inspecting signage and displays; handling pricing and invoicing; analyzing weekly/monthly sales and trends; conducting inventory; planning displays and promotions; ensuring proper temperatures/storage; maintaining hygiene and dress standards; following company guidelines; and providing friendly, efficient service while engaging customers and team members. Core skills include leadership, customer focus, problem solving, communication, merchandising, inventory control, and adherence to safety and sanitation practices. Education: High school or equivalent experience with over one year of related work experience. Physical requirements include lifting and moving objects as specified; this is a full-time, non-exempt role located in Fitchburg, WI. Employment contingent on successful pre-employment drug screen.
