Job Summary

Set department standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation, and profitability while coordinating the delivery of fresh, high-quality products at competitive prices. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all department employees, assigning work, approving discipline, and recommending transfers or salary increases. Manage daily operations by determining work schedules, conducting inventory, analyzing sales trends, and overseeing bookkeeping and pricing. Ensure proper storage temperatures, troubleshoot equipment, and handle customer inquiries, orders, and complaints while maintaining strict adherence to hygiene and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent experience
  • Over one year of related work experience
  • Ability to solve practical problems; variety of variables with limited standardization; interpret instructions
  • Ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Ability to compose original correspondence; interpret written work instructions; interview job applicants; follow technical manuals and have increased contact with people
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force (shared team lifting) occasionally
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly
  • Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
