Job Summary
Hy-Chi Department Cook at Hy-Vee, responsible for preparing various foods for the Hy-Chi department and maintaining hot and cold cases. Duties include cooking with a wok, preparing vegetables and ready sauces with spices, placing finished food into hot and cold cases, ensuring proper portioning, stocking supplies, and contributing to a positive store image through courteous customer service. Requires adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines, ability to follow written/verbal instructions, basic arithmetic for measuring ingredients, and the physical ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen; High school or equivalent education preferred; reports to store leadership and Hy-Chi Department Manager.

- Must be able to perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
