Job Summary
Fill customer orders, handle food safely, and label dating while ensuring accuracy. Review daily orders, check product freshness, and replenish inventory by pulling items from coolers and freezers. Answer telephone calls, process payments at the register, and maintain a clean, sanitized work area. Provide courteous service to customers and team members, including escorting shoppers and assisting with heavy items. Wash dishes, price products, and deliver orders as needed. Work in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals and temperature extremes.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education
- Six months or less of similar or related experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to deal with a few concrete variables
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to copy figures, count, and record
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information
- Ability to request supplies orally or in writing
