HW Test Engineer

HW Test Engineer, Special Projects to lead testing and validation of Eight Sleep hardware products. You’ll be part of a small, mission-driven team working on innovative new technology products. End-to-end hardware test engineering: build physical prototypes, bring up hardware, run experiments to stress sensors, collect and analyze test data, and create actionable information for the product team. Develop and maintain automated test applications and GUIs for production environments, hardware validation, and reliability testing; collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers; develop test systems using embedded hardware (e.g., Arduino) and coding in Python; integrate software with physical instrumentation and custom hardware/firmware; design user interfaces for running tests; architect data visualization and test reporting; create documentation and methodologies; build custom fixtures and jigs for R&D and manufacturing; perform hands-on root cause analysis and debugging to component/PCB level. Requires 3+ years in hardware/software development for integrated systems, willingness to travel (Asia/China), and a BS in a related engineering or science field (MS preferred). The role is based in San Francisco, CA or Boulder/Denver area with up to 20% travel; in-office 5 days/week.
