HVC Vascular Nurse

HVC Vascular Nurse (RN) within Yale New Haven Health System. The RN provides professional nursing care in alignment with ANA Standards of Practice, Scope and Standards, and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health teaching and promotion, and evaluation; promotion of ethics, culturally congruent practice, effective communication, collaboration, leadership, education, and evidence-based practice; and accountability to the patient, family, and healthcare team across specialized cardiovascular units (e.g., HVC Cardiac Medical Intermediate Care, Cardiac Surgery Intermediate Care and Step Down, Verdi 3 East, Verdi 5 East, and telemetry units). Licesure/certification requirements and unit-specific clinical duties are outlined, with emphasis on patient-centered care and professional behavior. Education includes BSN preferred; BCLS certification required (or obtained within one month of hire).
