HVC Post-Op Recovery Nurse (Cardiac)

HVC Post-Op Recovery Nurse (Cardiac) provides post-operative cardiac nursing in a Cardiac ICU/CTICU setting. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualized patient care; supervision of non-RN staff; assuming charge role and precepting new staff; ensuring readiness for discharge and coordinating education for patients and families. Demonstrates competency in neuro assessment, airway management, care of trached patients, care during special neuro procedures, and use of cardiac devices such as ventilators, Halo braces, and ECMO/other advanced therapies. The role also supports the institution's TIA teaching program and collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
