HVC Post-Op Recovery Nurse (Cardiac)

Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care on a cardiac nursing unit; supervise non-RN personnel, assume charge nurse responsibilities, and coordinate care with healthcare team. Demonstrates competency in neuro assessment, airway management, care of trached patients, and post-operative cardiac/vascular patients; utilizes the Tia teaching program; supports education and professional development; provides patient and family education and engages in discharge planning. Requires BSN preferred, CT RN licensure, and BCLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- BCLS certification required or must obtain within one month of hire.
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.
