Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in HVC Interventional Cardiovascular units at Yale New Haven Health System. Responsibilities include nursing process through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation; coordination of care; patient and family communication; culturally congruent practice; leadership and professional development; adherence to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and YNHHS professional practice model. Units cover cardiac medical intermediate care, cardiac surgery intermediate care/step down, and advanced heart failure/telemetry populations, with complex cardiac procedures and perioperative/postoperative care. Requires CT licensure, BSN preferred, and current BCLS certification; certification in cardiovascular specialties encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- RN must be licensed and currently registered in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred
- BCLS certification required or to be obtained within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
- Experience as an RN in cardiovascular/interventional care or relevant nursing practice preferred
