HVC Electrophysiology Nurse

Provide professional nursing care as part of the Yale New Haven Health System in HVC electrophysiology/cardiac units, employing autonomy, accountability, and collaboration to deliver patient-centered outcomes. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation); coordinating care across the patient/family and health care team; health teaching and promotion; and ensuring culturally congruent practice. Unit-specific duties include care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures such as catheterization, angioplasty/stent, pacemaker/ICD placement, and post-operative management across cardiac intermediate and step-down units, with emphasis on evidence-based practice, professional governance, ethics, and quality of care.
