Job Summary
HVC Critical Care Nurse role focusing on neuro and cardiac ICU units (Cardiothoracic ICU, Neuro ICU, and hybrid CVICU/stepdown). Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing and coordinating care plans, supervising non-RN staff, acting as preceptor and charge nurse, and supporting education and discharge planning. Qualifications emphasize RN license in CT, BSN preferred, BCLS certification due within one month, and experience in critical care/neurological assessment and airway management, with exposure to devices such as ECMO/IABP/Impella/LVAD and advanced cardiac care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within one month of hire)
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
