HVC Critical Care Nurse

HVC Critical Care Nurse (RN) provides expert patient-centered nursing care within Yale New Haven Health System, focusing on cardiovascular medicine units including intermediate care and step-down, cardiac surgery, and telemetry. Responsibilities follow ANA standards of practice and professional performance, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation, coordination of care, health teaching, and ongoing professional development. Responsibilities emphasize effective communication, collaboration with patients and families, culturally congruent care, leadership, ethics, and quality practice with accountability to the organizational nursing practice model. The role supports a wide range of cardiac populations and procedures (e.g., CABG, valve replacement, pacemaker/ICD, dysrhythmia management) across multiple HVC units and campuses. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Licensed Registered Nurse in Connecticut; clinical specialty certification encouraged.
