Job Summary
RN role in Heart and Vascular Cardiac ICU units; responsibilities include assessing patients continuously, developing and implementing individualized care plans, coordinating with healthcare team, educating patients and families, serving as preceptor and charge nurse, and caring for Neuro patients with advanced techniques and devices (incl. post-operative care, mechanical support devices, ECMO, ventilators, tracheostomies). Requires BSN preferred and CT RN licensure; includes leadership in adherence to unit policies, performance and patient outcomes, and ongoing education within a high-acuity cardiovascular/neuro ICU environment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut; Bachelor's degree preferred (BSN) with current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire.
