Job Summary
HVC Critical Care Nurse with leadership responsibilities including supervision of non-RN staff, charge nurse duties, and perioperative/neuro-focused critical care. Provides comprehensive nursing care on the Neuro/Cardiac ICU units, develops and documents individualized plans of care, collaborates with healthcare team, and participates in education and discharge planning. Requires CT RN licensure, BSN preferred, and BCLS certification; seasoned ICU/CTICU experience and competency in neuro assessment, airway management, ventilator care, tracheostomy care, and use of advanced devices (e.g., ECMO, LVAD) within a fast-paced Cardiac ICU setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current CT RN license
- BSN preferred
- BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within one month of hire)
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
- Ability to meet state scope and standards of practice
