HVC Cardiothoracic Nurse

RN provides patient-centered nursing care in cardiovascular units, upholding ANA Standards of Practice and the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, coordination of care, and health teaching. Requires current CT-licensed RN (BSN preferred), BCLS within one month, and collaboration with the health care team to manage patients in cardiac medical/intermediate care units including post-operative care for CABG, valve, and related procedures. Emphasizes leadership, ethical practice, culturally congruent care, evidence-based practice, and professional growth.
