Job Summary
Registered Nurse in HVC/Cardiac Telemetry delivering Neuro and cardiac telemetry care: assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care; supervises non-RN personnel; may serve as charge nurse and preceptor; develops and documents plans of care; educates patients and families; demonstrates competency in neuro assessment and airway management, tracheostomy suctioning, and care of ventilated patients; supports advanced cardiac care including devices and ECMO/Impella/LVAD as part of specialized units; collaborates with healthcare team to ensure high-quality care across units in the Heart and Vascular ICU, with emphasis on post-operative and high-acuity cardiac patients.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
