HVC Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

RN provides comprehensive cardiac nursing across multiple intermediate/step-down units (HVC Cardiac Medical Intermediate Care Unit, Cardiac Surgery Intermediate Care and Step Down, Verdi 3 East, and related cardiac services) including post-operative care for CABG, valve replacement, and electrophysiology procedures. Practices per ANA Scope and Standards, collaborates with the health-care team, engages in health teaching, and supports professional practice through leadership, ethics, culture, quality and evidence-based care. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, coordination of care, and evaluation to achieve patient-centered outcomes in a fast-paced cardiovascular setting; units handle complex cardiac conditions such as dysrhythmias, post-catheterization care, pacemaker/ICD management, and telemetry. Licensure in CT required; BSN preferred; ongoing professional development and certification encouraged.
