HVC Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

Job Summary
RN (Cardiac Cath Lab) provides expert nursing care in a cardiac intermediate/step-down unit and cath lab settings, following ANA standards and CT Nurse Practice Act; responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, leadership and collaboration with healthcare team, health teaching, and promoting evidence-based practice. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current CT RN licensure, BCLS, and BSN preferred; unit focuses on cardiovascular care including post-procedure management such as catheterization, angioplasty/stent, pacemaker, ICD, and other interventional procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- Clinical experience in cardiac intermediate/step-down units or cath lab environment is implied by unit descriptions
- Knowledge of ANA Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice
