Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Heart/Neuro care units providing patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care; supervising non-RN staff; assuming charge nurse responsibilities; functioning as preceptor; coordinating education and discharge planning; and delivering high-level nursing care across Neuro ICU, CTICU, and HVC/Cardiac ICU units with expertise in cardiac and neuro procedures, ventilatory support, ECMO readiness, and advanced cardiac devices.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- All newly hired RNs must have current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
