Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Yale New Haven Health System’s HVC Cardiac units. Provides patient-centered nursing care within the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as coordination of care, health teaching, and collaboration with patients and families. Requires CT RN license; BSN preferred; BCLS certification within one month of hire. Cardiac unit experience across interventional procedures (catheterization, angioplasty/stent, pacemaker/ICD, CABG, valve procedures) and fast-paced telemetry settings is relevant. Emphasizes leadership, professional governance, evidence-based practice, and quality outcomes in a dynamic specialty cardiovascular environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred
- BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- Cardiac/telemetry experience preferred
