HVC Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

Register nurse on the Heart & Vascular Cardiac ICU/CTICU unit: assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises patient care on a nursing unit; provides supervision of non-RN personnel, may serve as charge nurse, and may be assigned to other units as needed. Demonstrates competency in neuro assessment, airway management of neuro patients, caring for trached patients, and supporting specialized neuro procedures. Partners with the healthcare team to develop and document an individualized plan of care, educate patients and families, and revise the plan as needed. Serves as a preceptor to new staff and participates in performance-demands related to customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and ongoing professional development; supports the organization’s values (integrity, patient-centered care, respect, accountability, and compassion) in the Cardiac ICU setting.
