HVC Cardiac Care Nurse

Registered Nurse (RN) in Yale New Haven Health System's HVC Cardiac Care units. Provides professional nursing care aligned with the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and YNHHS values. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care with patients and families, educating patients and families, and contributing to quality outcomes. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program with CT licensure, BCLS certification (obtained within one month if not currently held), and BSN preferred. Cardiac specialty experience and ongoing professional development (SPIRE) are encouraged. Unit assignments include HVC Cardiac Medical Intermediate Care, Cardiac Surgery Intermediate Care/Step-Down, Verdi cardiac units, and related CCU/telemetry roles. The position emphasizes leadership, collaboration, ethical practice, and patient-centered care across multiple cardiac service lines.
