Job Summary
HVC Cardiac Care Nurse (RN) at Yale New Haven Health System. Provides patient-centered nursing care in cardiology-related units (Cardiac Medical Intermediate Care, Cardiac Surgery Intermediate Care/Step Down, and Verdi 3 East/Other Cardiac units) under ANA standards and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health teaching and promotion, and evaluation; collaboration with patients, families, and health care team; adherence to professional ethics and governance; and maintaining professional behavior and standards consistent with CT Nurse Practice Act and YNHHS policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged.
