Job Summary
HVAC Welder responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding HVAC components with MIG/TIG/arc techniques. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding certification from an accredited institution (AWS/ASME or equivalent)
- 2-4 years welding experience, preferably in HVAC
- Proficiency with MIG, TIG, arc welding and related techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
- Knowledge of metals used in HVAC systems (stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel) and fabrication methods
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, welding codes, and safety procedures
- Ability to travel to job sites and pass welding tests (e.g., SCH-40 carbon steel pipe with MIG)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and ability to work independently or on a team
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in confined spaces
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights or weekends if required
- Valid driver's license and safe driving history
