Job Summary
The HVAC Utilities Maintenance Technician V is responsible for providing advanced expertise in troubleshooting, and conducting proactive, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on industrial chillers and support systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Daily duties include diagnosing and repairing industrial mechanical systems, conducting maintenance inspections, and performing repair on various utility plant support systems. Qualifications include a high school diploma, relevant licensing, EPA certification, and at least five years of experience in a similar role. Strong mechanical skills, the ability to work in a regulated environment, and effective communication are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent
- CT S1/S2 Heating Piping and Cooling License
- An active EPA Universal certification
- Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in Power/Utility/Chiller Plants
- Ability to work in a highly regulated environment
- Strong mechanical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to identify and correct safety-related issues
- Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident
Desired Qualifications
- Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings
- Experience performing pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and millwright related work
- Experience troubleshooting and/or repairing steam turbine, gas turbine, boilers with building automation systems
