Job Summary
HVAC Truck Based Service Controls Engineer responsible for the service & repair, design, configuration, and operation of complete HVAC building control systems and other low voltage control sub-systems. Develops complex software programs, commissioning and troubleshooting to ensure proper operations of the building control system. Creates flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of materials, network layouts, and electrical schematics; coordinates drawings and equipment schedules for submittals; orders and tracks material delivery; assists in loading and commissioning of system and network-level controllers; validates system functionality and resolves issues with subcontractors; provides owner/operator training and participates in coordination and release meetings; performs value engineering while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge HVAC industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems
- Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet)
- Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience
- Demonstrated advanced computer skills, particularly computer-related drafting tools
