Job Summary
HVAC Truck Based Journeyman Mechanic (union) responsible for maintenance, repair and replacements on commercial HVACR systems. Role involves servicing light commercial to heavy commercial equipment, performing troubleshooting and repair on rooftops, pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, compressors, and related plumbing. Position includes providing quotes to customers, upselling solutions, and supporting commissioning and aftermarket service. Requires being a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the HVAC Industry of the United States, minimum two years of relevant experience, mechanical shaft alignment expertise, vibration equipment usage, and EPA universal refrigerants license with valid licensing and driver's license. Also notes training in HVAC products and sales quoting and collaboration with local market mechanics and apprentices.
Required Qualifications
- Member or willingness to join United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of HVAC Industry of the United States
- Two (2) years minimum Commercial/industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in HVAC (rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors)
- Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators
- Ability to use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drivelines
- Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies
- EPA universal refrigerants license, applicable state/local licensing, and valid driver's license
- Willingness to enroll in training programs to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting
