Job Summary
Designs, configures and services technically complex building control systems for HVAC facilities, developing software programs and commissioning procedures to ensure proper operation. Responsible for creating flow diagrams, sequences of operations, bill of materials, network layouts and electrical schematics; coordinating submittals and equipment schedules; loading and commissioning system and network-level controllers; and providing field training for owners/operators. Collaborates with subcontractors and trades to validate system functionality, delivers clear communication to customers, consultants, and internal teams, and upholds safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Minimum eight (8) years' experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or service, or HVAC industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems
- Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet)
- Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience
- Demonstrated advanced computer skills, particularly computer-related drafting tools
