Job Summary
HVAC Technician focused on startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket service for residential/ducted chillers, AHUs, and roof-top ducted units. Johnson Controls provides STA certification, tools, uniforms, and a company vehicle. Travel 10-20% to support startup/commissioning and service requests. Must be a member or willing to join the United Association union. Candidates should have 3+ years of hands-on experience with chillers and related components, be able to repair centrifugal compressors and related equipment, hold EPA refrigerants license and state/local licensing, possess a valid driver's license, and be prepared to pursue JCI STA training. Strong communication skills for problem description, cause, and corrective actions, and the ability to provide quotes to customers.
Required Qualifications
- Member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO or willing to join
- Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on Residential and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHUs or Roof Top ducted units with strong HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers system components
- Travel may be required 10% to 20% to support Branch Customers startup and commissioning activities as well as aftermarket service trouble shooting
- Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license
- This is a Bargaining Unit Position. Pay Range: $39.92 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
