Job Summary
Assist the Operations and Engineering team in operating, maintaining, and repairing all building systems, including HVAC, water treatment, electrical, and fire protection. Develop skills in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex technical equipment while responding to on-site problems and analyzing floor plans. Plan work assignments, obtain necessary tools, and promptly complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks. Inspect building areas to report deficiencies and suggestions for improvement, while maintaining a professional appearance and positive attitude. Respond to after-hours emergencies such as fire, flooding, or severe weather when other personnel are unavailable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA certification
- demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC and building systems
- ability to use hand and power tools safely
- strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- availability to respond to after-hours emergencies as needed
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
