Job Summary
HVAC Mechanic position at SJS Executives performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems including pumps, compressors, chillers, evaporators, condensers, and related components. Requires EPA Universal Certification, Real ID, CPR, 4+ years of experience, ability to read blueprints, operate with NAVFAC MAXIMO, and adherence to refrigerant handling regulations. Responsibilities include assessing system operation, diagnosing faults, replacing parts, installing equipment, testing for leaks, and ensuring safety and compliance while working on facilities owned by the U.S. federal government; candidate should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights and in confined spaces, and be prepared for background checks and drug testing.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification from an approved certifying program
- Valid Real ID as a requirement for the position
- 4+ years’ experience as HVAC Mechanic in light commercial or heavy industrial
- Valid State Driver's License
- CPR certification prior to starting work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operating manuals
- Ability to pass drug test and thorough background check for access to military installation
- Ability to perform physical activity including walking, stooping, bending, climbing; work at heights and in confined spaces
- Knowledge of 40 CFR 82 and refrigerant handling guidelines
- Familiarity with NAVFAC MAXIMO software
- Ability to work on systems including heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying, circulating and filtering
- Willingness to respond to job-related emergencies within 1 hour of notification
- Possession of required certifications to handle refrigerants and equipment
