Job Summary
HVAC Technician responsible for planning, design, renovation, and installation of HVAC equipment at CONUS and OCONUS customer sites. Travel up to 75% and work alongside installation teams, supervise subcontractors, and oversee HVAC construction tasks while enforcing safety and quality control. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, modifying, and installing HVAC equipment (refrigeration, air conditioning, compressors, condensers, chillers, and related components), performing general HVAC maintenance, electrical repair/installation, and wiring, operating construction equipment, coordinating service calls, and ensuring compliance with building codes. Must read and interpret blueprints and manuals, develop cost estimates from construction documents, and possess the ability to use hand tools and basic computer skills. Preferred experience with secure facilities (SCIFs) and the ability to obtain a federal security clearance; willingness to travel to various sites (CONUS/OCONUS) and work in austere environments. This full-time role requires flexibility to travel, long hours, and potential nights/weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years’ proven experience as an HVAC technician with journeyman’s license and with verifiable experience renovating facilities and leading crews to include: Supporting government customers; HVAC project management; Planning, design, budgeting, and estimating; Oversight of subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
