Job Summary
Conduct daily maintenance checks, perform repairs, and manage inventory for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems at Ballpark Circle, Choctaw Stadium, and leased office properties. Coordinate logistics with internal departments, City of Arlington representatives, vendors, and tenants to schedule preventative maintenance, inspections, and project management. Execute routine services including air filter changes, belt replacements, cleaning, refrigerant recharging, and minor electrical or pipefitting repairs on pumps, compressors, and chillers. Maintain equipment logs, certifications, permits, and tool records while adjusting controls and calibrating machinery as needed. Respond to temperature complaints and equipment malfunctions promptly. Work occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and remain on-call 24/7. Lift 50 pounds and work in noisy, hot environments with regular chemical exposure.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in HVAC repair and/or service work
- 1-2 years experience in maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers, air cooled chillers, large AHU's, VAV boxes, fan coils, Split systems, pollution control units, Crack data room equipment and/or similar equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans
- Efficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer software skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task at a high level of detail across multiple projects
- Ability to work in noisy and hot environments and to work with water
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move with large bulk items
- Requires long periods of time on feet
- Ability to walk, sit, climb, crawl, kneel, squat, bend, and extend arms and legs fully
- Ability to use hands to manipulate and effectively use tools and controls
- Exposure to chemicals on a regular basis
- Required to work in situations requiring heights and/or tight working conditions from extension step ladders and lifts
- Must be prepared to work occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and be on-call as needed
- This position is on-call 24/7
- Will require work to be performed on weekends, event nights and holidays as needed
