Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and install cooling system components for commercial HVAC equipment at telecom shelters. Conduct performance checks, perform out-of-season maintenance upgrades, and respond to service calls including emergency outages. Complete daily work reports accurately and operate a motor vehicle safely for extensive independent travel to remote sites. Work outdoors in varying ambient temperatures, lifting equipment up to 50 pounds, with occasional overnights and weekend availability. Candidates must reside within 60 miles of Watkins Glen, NY, hold Level 2 or Universal EPA certification, and pass a DOT physical.
Required Qualifications
- Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified
- 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email
- Must be available for after-hours and weekend call outs on occasion
- Must be able to comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA Standards
- Must reside within 60 miles of Watkins Glen, New York area
- Must be able to lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds)
- Will be required to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems is preferred
- 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred)
