Job Summary
HVAC Technician (Nights) at Regeneron in Rensselaer, NY. Responsible for start-up, operation, monitoring and shutdown of HVAC and related equipment. Maintains coolers and freezers including ultra-low temperature freezers; operates centrifugal and reciprocating refrigeration chillers; maintains chilled water systems, distribution, and condenser pumps; operates air compressors; participates in rotational on-call for site emergency work. Performs preventive maintenance and repair of industrial air handling systems and BAS; conducts daily rounds; coordinates with departments and outside contractors/vendors for scheduled or unscheduled maintenance; adheres to SOPs, cGMPs, GDPs and quality standards. Requires an AAS with relevant HVAC experience and EPA refrigeration certification; capable of working on-site in production areas; role determined by level of qualification (II/III/IV). Required Qualifications
- AAS and minimum experience in AC, Heating, Chilled Water Systems, Building Automation Controls, and Maintenance; HVAC Technician II: AAS with 2+ years or equivalent; HVAC Technician III: AAS with 5+ years or equivalent; HVAC Technician IV: AAS with 8+ years or equivalent; EPA certified for refrigeration gases; able to become fully gown qualified to work in production areas; solid understanding of industrial HVAC systems; experience with Industrial Air Handling Units; familiarity with cGMPs, GDPs, SOPs; preferred electronic, PLC, building automation systems experience; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
