Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, and ventilation across multiple properties in the Central Savannah River Area. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision while responding to service requests and emergency repair calls. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and preventive maintenance logs, ensuring all work complies with local, state, and federal codes. Coordinate with external vendors, maintain tools and company vehicle, and support workforce development by providing applied learning opportunities and mentoring Helms College students. Requires EPA Section 608 certification, valid driver's license, and 3–5 years of hands-on experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical school, trade school, or apprenticeship certification in HVAC
- 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures
- Travel required between multiple Goodwill locations throughout the CSRA
- May require occasional after-hours or weekend work for emergency repairs
