Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems for residential and commercial customers within the Leisure World of Maryland community. Diagnose malfunctions, assemble wiring and pipe systems, and conduct preventive maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Perform repairs using hand and power tools, maintain daily job logs, and manage company vehicle stock and parts. Provide repair cost estimates, generate invoices, obtain customer signatures, and collect payments at the job site. Document installed equipment details and participate in company training. This role requires a CFC certification, Maryland Journeyman license, and 3-5 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- CFC Certification and/or license in refrigerant, transition, and recovery
- Maryland Journeyman HVAC license
- Current valid driver's license
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in HVAC maintenance/installation/service
- Knowledge of the principles of refrigeration, heating, and air handling
- Knowledge and skill in hand tools and diagnostic equipment employed in maintenance and repair
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manual
- Ability to perform repairs to and install heat pumps, air conditioners, compressors, air handlers, gas, and electrical furnaces
- Must be available to share on-call duties as assigned
