Job Summary
Journeyman HVAC service technician role focused on servicing a variety of HVAC equipment at customer locations, performing preventive maintenance, emergency service, diagnosing and repairing systems, and communicating findings to customers and project managers. Responsibilities include coordinating with dispatch and team lead for daily assignments, purchasing materials, maintaining documentation, and upselling or supporting maintenance quotes. Requires strong customer interaction, ability to work overtime and occasional overnight stays, and adherence to safety and company policies. Must have EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I & II), minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC experience, and a high school diploma or GED; associates degree and related certifications are preferred. Daily travel to service locations in the greater Atlanta, GA area is required.
Required Qualifications
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- EPA Certification for refrigerant handling, Type I and II
- Strong steady work history with 5+ years minimum as a Commercial HVAC technician
- Local Union 72 membership as Apprentice, Tradesman, or Journeyman (or the qualifications, willingness and ability to join)
- Possess a clean driving record and a current driver's license
