Job Summary
HVACR Technician responsible for servicing, repairing, and preventive maintenance of HVACR systems in a large production facility, including boilers, ammonia-based cooling, chillers, steam systems, pumps, and building automation. Requires troubleshooting complex electrical schematics, operating HVAC controls (PLCs/i-Vu), and managing on-call duties with overtime/weekend availability; includes logging maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with safety and technical qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- HVAC journeyman or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant experience in operating and/or maintaining industrial HVAC systems
- 3rd Class Facility Operator Engineer License or ability to obtain within 1 year
- Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator Level 1 (CIRO) or ability to obtain within 1 year
- EPA 608 Technician Certification (universal) or ability to obtain within 1 year
- Experience with HVAC controls and building automation systems (e.g., PLCs, i-Vu)
- Knowledge of HVACR equipment troubleshooting and ability to read electrical schematics/wiring diagrams
- Ability to work on-call, overtime, and weekends as needed
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
