Job Summary
Teach HVAC courses according to the lesson plan and syllabus as directed by the program supervisor, ensuring instruction quality and quantity align with stated objectives. Prepare and grade written and practical examinations, administer final exams on the last day of the module, and submit course grades before the end of the week. Deliver tutoring sessions online and in-person while attending faculty meetings, in-service meetings, and graduation ceremonies as required. Maintain a professional atmosphere conducive to maximum student learning and retention. Submit reports by collecting and analyzing information and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Work Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Northwest Career College in East Las Vegas, NV.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Section 608 Universal certification
- two years of experience as an HVAC technician
- In-field experience: 2 or more years
- EPA Section 608 Technician Universal Certification
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
