Job Summary
Conduct skilled troubleshooting, maintenance, modification, and repair work in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure the university infrastructure supports safe and effective working conditions. Perform semi-skilled construction activities in assigned maintenance operations areas, operating hand and power tools safely in both indoor and outdoor environments. Requires 3+ years of experience in the Maintenance Technician Series with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing trades. Located in Anderson, SC, this 12-month full-time role reports to the Physical Plant Supervisor within a Christian institution committed to academic excellence and faith-based education.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ yrs exp. in the Maintenance Technician Series
- A high school diploma or GED
- knowledge and/or experience with HVAC
- knowledge and/or experience with electrical
- knowledge and/or experience with plumbing
- experience with other basic maintenance trades
- The ability to perform physical and manual tasks in indoor and outdoor environments
- The ability to operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner
Desired Qualifications
- A technical degree in related field
