Job Summary
The HVAC Technician II performs installation, adjustment, operation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment both residentially and commercially. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, servicing air conditioning units, and operational duties at Liberty University facilities. Must demonstrate excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of HVAC principles, safety precautions, and ability to interpret technical documents and schematics. Collaboration and support of other technicians is essential, along with commitment to working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3+ years of related experience
- Current EPA certification in refrigerants
- Knowledge of HVAC systems operation and maintenance
- Basic computer operation knowledge for energy management systems
Desired Qualifications
- Journeyman card preferred
- EPA certification in refrigerants
Additional Requirements
- Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license required
- Acceptable DMV record and liability insurance required
