Job Summary
Respond to work orders addressing temperature issues, replacing pumps, and repairing refrigerant systems. Perform preventive maintenance including filter changes, coil cleaning, and ice machine service. Modify HVAC components and sensors to improve comfort while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies for refrigerant reclaiming and fire barrier repairs. Estimate materials, analyze electrical controls, and execute snow removal duties. Maintain circulating pumps and high-pressure steam boilers.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- 5 years of HVAC Experience
- Universal Refrigerant Reclaiming license
- Pneumatic and direct digital control experience
- Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration including ice machines
- Experienced in troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment
- Ability to cut and thread pipe to meet base fabrication needs
- Maintain and install filter systems
- Some knowledge of medical gas systems
- Install and maintain circulating pumps
- Knowledge of high-pressure steam boilers and delivery systems
- Working knowledge of OSHA, State, DOH and Hospital Safety Standards
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Electrical controls
- Experienced in all forms of soldering
- Ability to understand and complete preventative maintenance programs
- Be able to perform heavy lifting and climbing
- Ability to perform snow removal duties including shoveling salting and working knowledge of snow plow operations
