Job Summary
Maintenance, operation, and repair of shipboard HVAC systems, refrigeration, ventilation, and air conditioning across hotel, galley, provision, and guest areas; ensure compliance with Public Health, National and International standards; coordinate with Hotel and Technical departments; supervision of AC Fitter and coordination of refrigeration accounts; daily reporting to Hotel Engineer; five months on / two months off rotation on Orient Express Corinthian contract; emphasis on safety, technical proficiency, and high-standard ship operations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid STCW 95 certification
- Appropriate certification as required by regulations
- Good knowledge of refrigeration systems, AC distribution and ability to troubleshoot issues in cabins and public spaces
- Experience as ship refrigerator fitter with screw and centrifugal compressors
- Licensed to handle refrigerant gases
- Physically and medically fit
- Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings and manuals
- English fluency (verbal, written, technical)
